What is the Pure Sky Vaulting Club?

        Pure Sky Vaulting Club originally started as a Vaulting Camp by Coach Tilley
        back in 1997  at Green Valley High School. After it’s second year, invitations
        went out to kids interested in forming a club. So in 1998, Pure Sky Vaulting
        Club was born. From 1998 thru 2006 practices were held at Green Valley
        High School. Then in 2006, we purchased our own UCS Spirit pit and moved
        to our current location at 303 Race Track Road in Henderson. We currently
        hold Club Practices every Monday & Thursday from 5:00 - 6:30 PM as well
        as Club Competitions. If you are interested in joining us just click on the

Pure Sky Vault Club has Produced:

16 Boys Regional Champions

11 Girls Regional Champions

 Club Format

  Come join us in our quest to become better pole vaulters. Club members experience a sense of
  camaraderie while training and learning how to achieve higher heights. Members will go through
  testing, learn new drills and training techniques, and have plenty of jumping. Athletes learn the
  progressions and techniques that it takes to become the best they can be and improve their
  vaulting. Our training will fit your needs, whether fine tuning your skills or learning from scratch.

  Introduce the pole vault to new athletes
  Mentor new coaches
  Give pole vaulters a place to train year-round
  Teach the proper progression for safe, successful vaulting
  Train athletes to jump for their potential 
  Supplement the high school programs
  Motivate athletes through positive reinforcement
  Encourage vaulters of all abilities to jump higher through hard work
  Support athletes in their quest to become better vaulters
  Enable high school athletes to earn collegiate scholarships 

 Where and when are practices?
  Practices will be held at the Pure Sky Pit located at 303 North Racetrack Road in Henderson.
  Practices begin in October and continue through June.
  All practices are held from 5:00 pm – 6:45 pm every Monday and Thursday.

  New this year: There will be NO CLUB IN THE MONTH OF APRIL.
  April is in the heart of Track Season, and in the past, it has been too difficult for the coaches &
  athletes to work in both Club & School practices.  There will be Private Lessons during this time
  for those who would like some one-on-one help.

 How do I register?
  Please send attached registration form and Informed Consent and Release form with your
  payment to: Pure Sky Athletics at 303 North Racetrack Road Henderson NV 89015.
  We accept cash, checks or money orders. Please make all checks payable to Robert Tilley

 How much does it cost?
  Rates for 2009-2010 year
  Annul Registration fee: $40 (This is a once a year fee, separate from the membership fee)
  Club Year begins October and ends in June.

  Drop-in fee    $30  Must a current USATF card!! No Card - No Jump!
  Monthly       $120
  4 months      $420
  6 months      $580
  8 months      $710
  Private Lesson 1 person $50   (Non-Member)  Must a current USATF Card!! No Card - No Lesson!
  Private Lesson 1 person $40   (Member)
  Discounts for 2 or more persons. Contact one of the Coaches for pricing.
  (no more than 6 vaulters per Private lesson. With 3 or more vaulters, 2 coaches will be present)

  If you join after the 1^st of the month, you must pay for the whole month.
  All athletes are responsible for getting their USATF card.
  (You can’t start club until you have it! NO EXCEPTIONS).

  Who can participate?
  All male and female athletes age 10 and up are eligible to participate. This is the perfect
  environment for athletes who have never vaulted before to learn the proper technical progressions.

  Can coaches and parents attend?
  Coaches and parents are encouraged to attend any and all sessions at no cost. High schools may
  send coaches who have never  coached the event to the club for education.
   

  
  Important Club Rule:
  Pure Sky will not be loaning out poles to Members or Non-Members!
  So tell your School Coaches to get you your poles for the season.
  We cannot let Club Kids use Pure Sky Poles for School Competitions.
