Boy’s Vaulter of the Week

Austin Tilley: Austin started his sophomore season with one goal in mind, to qualify for the State Meet. Along the way to his goal, he has been sitting at the top of the Sunrise Region for the boy's pole vault. Then, at the Frosh/Soph Championships Austin broke three records; the Sunrise Frosh/Soph record; the Southern Regional Frosh/Soph record, and the Basic H.S boy's Frosh/Soph record. With a performance like this, it looks possible that Austin may just reach his goal! For his hard work and drive, we name Austin Tilley, our week-7 Boy’s “Vaulter of the Week”.

Girl’s Vaulter of the Week

Alexis Romero: This Wooster HS sophomore is having a great season this year. After opening the Indoor Season with a big 11'-2" jump at the Pole Vault Summit, she opened the Outdoor Season at 10'. From there she has improved by a foot and a half by making 11'-6" at the West Valley/Chico Invitational, then consistently clearing 11' since then. With performances like these, we'd like to recognize Alexis Romero as our Pure Sky Vaulting's Girl’s “Vaulter of the Week”, Week-7.

Congratulations to both of these athletes!!

All “Vaulters of the Week” will receive a “Vaulter of the Week” tee-shirt (as soon as they come in). At the end of the season, we will pick one girl and one boy for “Vaulter of the Year” from all the kids who were named “Vaulter of the Week”.
